"Curious Creatures Are Cetaceans"

Spotted, Common and Bottlenose dolphins have been seen in the waters of Playa de las Americas and it's the Bottlenose dolphins that people see most. Fin and Sperm whales have been spotted off Playa de las Americas, depending on the season. But it's the Pilot whales that live here most everybody sees. "Calm Seas In Southern Tenerife"

All water excursions are in Southern Tenerife where the atlantic ocean is usually calm. This includes Los Cristianos, Playa de las Americas to Los Gigantes. Wind makes the seas rougher and southern Tenerife has it's back to prevailing winds. Ideal boating conditions for non sailors. If the weather is bad the excursion is canceled. All cruises leave from Puerto Colon, playa de las Americas unless otherwise stated.
